Your scope of work

Know what you are asking us to change.

  • Terraces, patios and outdoor dining areas
  • Driveways, vehicle access and garden paths
  • Pool surrounds, steps and hardscaping
  • Assessment of drainage, levels and surface restoration

Give terraces, access areas and gardens a coherent plan, from practical surfaces to comfortable outdoor living.

What we assess before specifying the work

Choose the system after reviewing substrate condition, falls, drainage, exposure, maintenance and intended traffic. Resin-bound aggregate, decorative resin/stone, concrete systems, natural stone and porcelain are options to assess—not interchangeable specifications. Permeability, slip performance and vehicle suitability depend on the specified system and installation.

Defined separately, never assumed

Pool structure, major retaining works, planting, irrigation and lighting are separate packages unless expressly included.

The signed proposal sets the actual inclusions. A service list is not a quotation.

Make it yours

The choices that make the difference.

01

Match the system to the use

Natural stone, porcelain, resin-bound aggregate and decorative concrete offer different installation and maintenance choices.

02

Resolve water and levels

Review falls, outlets, thresholds, steps and connections to the building before selecting the final surface.

03

Design the whole outdoor routine

Consider seating, vehicle movements, garden access, lighting and how each area will be cleaned and maintained.

Surfaces & finishes

Choose the surface for the way you use it.

We offer these paving systems subject to assessment and specification. Compare samples, preparation, maintenance and suitability for the actual setting before choosing.

Plan the outside as part of the home.

01

Exterior paving & surfacing

Review stone, porcelain and specialist system options against the existing support and desired finish. Installation requirements come before visual selection.

02

Driveways & vehicle access

Specify preparation and finishes for the actual vehicles, access geometry and substrate. Pedestrian paving is not automatically suitable for vehicle loads.

03

Terraces & patios

Consider shade, outdoor furniture, thresholds, drainage and continuity with the interior.

04

Pool surrounds & outdoor living

Assess water exposure, bare-foot comfort, steps and the specified surface performance. No universal slip-resistance claim applies.

05

Garden hardscaping & drainage

Coordinate levels, water routes, paths, planting interfaces and lighting. Retaining works need appropriate technical assessment.

06

Terrace waterproofing & surface repairs

Investigate leaks, failed joints and substrate defects before new finishes. Agree the repair, waterproofing and drainage details as a coordinated scope.

Before you commit

A budget you can understand. A programme you can follow.

What affects the cost?

A surface price without preparation can be misleading. Removal, support repairs, drainage, waterproofing, excavation, edges, steps, access and the specified finish all affect the budget. The proposal should make these quantities and packages clear.

What affects the timing?

Ground conditions, weather, substrate preparation, drainage work and system-specific curing affect the sequence. Material availability and the need to keep an access route open also influence planning.

What your proposal should make clear

  • The defined work and itemised allowances
  • Materials, quantities and selection assumptions
  • Taxes, exclusions and separately commissioned services
  • Payment milestones and the process for approving changes
Discuss the scope and budget

Living through the work

Plan the disruption before it starts.

Agree how people, deliveries and vehicles will reach the property during work. A terrace, entrance or pool surround may need to be taken out of use until the specified system is ready.

Living abroad? Here is how we coordinate.

The final review

Know what handover means.

Inspect edges, junctions, steps and finish consistency; review the drainage and other checks included in the scope. Receive maintenance and use guidance for the installed system.

Before your project begins

How much will this renovation cost?

A surface price without preparation can be misleading. Removal, support repairs, drainage, waterproofing, excavation, edges, steps, access and the specified finish all affect the budget. The proposal should make these quantities and packages clear.

How long will the work take?

Ground conditions, weather, substrate preparation, drainage work and system-specific curing affect the sequence. Material availability and the need to keep an access route open also influence planning.

Can I keep living in the property?

Agree how people, deliveries and vehicles will reach the property during work. A terrace, entrance or pool surround may need to be taken out of use until the specified system is ready.

Can you help me choose materials and finishes?

Yes. We compare the relevant options, samples, maintenance and lead times with you. Selections and their cost implications are documented; the proposal defines the design and consultation services included.

Can I renovate while living abroad?

Yes. We agree a named contact, access, reporting and written approvals. Some decisions require physical samples or professional inspections at the property.

What if we discover additional work?

We explain the finding, proposed response, cost and schedule implications before seeking written approval. The project agreement defines how urgent protective work is handled.

What is checked at handover?

Inspect edges, junctions, steps and finish consistency; review the drainage and other checks included in the scope. Receive maintenance and use guidance for the installed system.
